I have created an operating system from open-source software. At this moment, it is not really useful (because not enough applications available), but the next versions should surprise you :-)
You will find the image to burn on a CD and the source code here :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yugiohjcjos
The user manual is here (in french) :
http://www.mediafire.com/file/2x4n233g1ik/yugiohjcjos.pdf
I need translators for the /utils/config/etc/rc.d/rc.menu.variables.XXX files. Where XXX are the 3 characters corresponding to the language.
2 translators are already assigned: rc.menu.fra (yugiohjcj at free dot fr) and rc.menu.eng (yugiohjcj at free dot fr).
The list of languages that YuGiOhJCJOS must support are here :
http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/codes.asp
Please to send me an e-mail with your translated file (you can find examples in the downloaded source code). A section of the forum is also dedicated to store your translations.
In the next version you will be able to install RPM packages in order to have more software installed. The network should be supported to have access to the Internet.
It is the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS) tree. You can build it with this tool.

It is the Linux Device List MAKEDEV script which create devices. This is a Filesystem Hierarchy Standard recommendation.
