SVGA Repton clone with sound and built in level editor. |
The author describes this as a "clone of Repton from BBC Micro." It's a falling boulders and diamonds game with other oddments such as hatching monster eggs and a level map. It runs in 640x480 on the console, with digitized sounds. |

Tetris for Linux console. |
Tetris for Linux console. It's much better looking than Tetris for Terminals. The commands work like Nintendo Tetris, not the original Tetris (hold down space to drop a piece quickly, let go and it drops at the normal rate). This is just the standard tetris-like game, with no special pieces or features. Overall, a well-done game---the interface is pretty, and I didn't encounter any bugs. |

A small program that animates the X cursor. |
This small program animates the X cursor. Any sequence of xbm bitmaps may be specified as the animation. The default "demo" sequence is a cute rotating earth. Although the docs indicate that the cursor in some X windows can be changed, I was only able to animate the cursor in the root window. |

A good strategy game similar to Sokoban. |
This is a strategy game for Linux console similar to Sokoban. You control a robot who must dispose of crates of nuclear waste by pushing them into recycling areas. The major difference from Sokoban is the presence of one-way passages through which you can only go in one direction. The levels are challenging. This is a good game. |

Pexeso is a memory/concentration game for children which runs in 640x480 using svgalib. It has multiple sets of cards, including a set based on a Czech TV series Vecernicek, and flags of the world. The artwork is pretty and the interface mostly flawless. You may need to patch it to work with non-Microsoft mice.
