Get your copy quick, before they run out!
What's new from the release announcement:

Everything from dos rc 2
Added mouse grabbing, press left-alt + page-down to grab the mouse under X, press it again to release it. Use -grabmouse to start with the mouse grabbed.
Added invisible mousecursor for people using focus follows mouse, use -nocursor to make the cursor invisible, grabbing the mouse as above also makes it invisible. This was kindly contributed by: Dave Dribin
Removed ROMPATH, SPOOLDIR etc defines from makefile.unix and replaced them with XMAMEROOT by Christian Groessler
Fully intergrated openstep support, it now no longer needs the files in contrib, see README.unix
Added sound synchronisation for streamed sound, this should fix the lag in pacman. This only works when throttle is enabled.
Netbsd-i386 audiobuffer querying support by: Tom Spindler
Xmame 0.34rc2.1 updated

I don't play Ultima Online, so I'm not too clear about what a "non-patching binary" is, but I suspect it means the client will break next time there's a UO update. The FAQ for this release may answer some questions about this. New Ultima Online client released updated

The gpc license is unfortunately not compatible with the GPL. I may look for an alternative library, or just require that developers download this library separately.
First slew of changes from the MacOS porting effort contributed by "Robert Puyol" <puyol@abvent.fr>.
Support for an arbitrary number of serial ports + additional serial port output tweaks.
Serial output tweaks to make things more robust and act more like a GPS.
Portability enhancements for Borland, Solaris, and SGI.
Some internal class renaming and reorganizations. fgFLIGHT becomes FGState. fgCONTROLS becomes FGControls.
Started work on an "external" flight model so the sim can be driven from external input (serial port, network, file, etc.)
Fixed a problem that creeped in with setting the initial startup altitude. This could cause an unrecoverable bounce and you'd end up flipped on your back. Should be fixed now.
Sun now appears to grow in size as it gets very low in the horizon.
Fixed a view frustum culling bug where the scene was not accurately culled when your view was anything other than straight forward.
Flight Gear Flight Sim 0.57 updated
