This thing's waaay sweet on my machine (which, thanks to the framebuffer driver, is at a 1280x1024 text mode... and I think I'm using an 8x8 font... so that would be a 160x128 text mode).
Unfortunetely, it doesn't respect keymappings -- it took me a while to figure out why the commands I typed in Dvorak weren't working. |

<p>It's a bit hard job. But when you get used it isn't so bad. First you draw "pixels" and then attributes. You must have piece of imagination.

I found it annoying that you can't
climb down a ladder - and I wish dead
players would come back at different
(random) places so you can't sit by
the reset place. Sometimes the 'C'
key gets "stuck".

Novelty value is high. This is a very conceptually groovy game. As others have stated, not sure about how it will actually play but the graphics move very smoothly and the keys are responsive. I kept laughing at the nifty little details like ejecting bullet casings - THAT is production value! |

Wonderfull!
I played the game a LOT in my school,
in a LAN with 20 other players... It was really fun. Only 2 problems: 1) Sometimes people would screw the ranking by repeatedly killing each other at the place the game starts - i think the rank should be ordered by frags-deaths (and I implemented this idea here :) 2) Sometimes the game "locks" for one or more players, and only when someone kills them they can start to play again. |
