54690 Freeciv games 37168 Bad fate Since the Freeciv forum went offline months ago, I managed to retrieve its posts and mirrored them at the forum http://freeciv-debian.ns0.it/forum. You can post there while the main one remains unreachable. Messages from both forums will likely be merged together when main forum will get back online. 2012-05-24 12:50:20 0
54689 Battle for Wesnoth games 34020 Re: Boring game The people at http://wesnoth.gamingladder.info/ maintain a ladder that works with an elo rating system. <br> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system <br> <br> If there were any truth behind your claims the rating of the players should not differ much since luck would equalise them. <br> <br> In fact the range is between ~1400 and ~2350 alone under the 100 top rated players. 2012-05-24 01:09:49 54594

54687 Arx Libertatis games 34408 Incredibly easy to install! I got Arx Fatalis off of GOG.com for like 6 bucks and if you install Arx Libertatis from PPA that same PPA has everything you need to install from the GOG .exe file. Was incredibly easy. It is a little dated but I think it is a great game and it even runs on my fitpc3 APU system perfectly. I wish more old games like this would go open source, it was well worth the 5.99 at GOG. I'm on Linux Mint 12 btw. 2012-05-20 20:35:33 0

54684 Arx Libertatis games 35706 Arx Libertatis Just installed it with the gentoo overlay...seems to work great. Installation was very easy that way..the hardest part was finding my old arx fatalis CD. Looks pretty nice so far (haven't played much yet though). Only thing I noticed so far is that the fullscreen option has no label with the german data, but not a big deal I found it anyway. I especially like that I can resize the window of the game (Or use the KDE fullscreen option for windows so that it doesn't cover both of my screens in fullscreen...or turns one off). Overall great work and I really enjoy being able to play this on linux now again. 2012-05-19 09:42:16 0
54683 Arx Libertatis games 36320 Great game It's great to have this game running on Linux. Since only the code has a free licence but not the game data, you still need to buy the game (a downloadable version is available for a few bucks at GOG.com). I run into a small problem because I bought a later version of Arx, which was included in a games compilation, and the instructions and install script from the Arx wiki did not work because my version had the latest patch already applied and had different checksums than the install script expected. I ended up installing it on a Windows machine and copying the game data to my Linux box (probably this wasn't even necessary if I had figured out how to use the cabextract command line tools). The game runs better on Linux than on Windows. For example it supports wide-screen monitor resolutions and seems to have a better frame rate. 2012-05-19 05:15:53 0
54682 FS-UAE games 37061 FS-UAE I hope it's not considered bad behavior to rate my own product 5 stars - I really do like it very much :) 2012-05-17 09:16:57 0
54681 Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye games 30260 Re: Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye Thanks for reporting this, grootswagers! This is the first time I've heard of such a problem with any of my games. I'll see what I can do about this before the official v1.0 release on June 30! 2012-05-16 23:19:05 54680
