A strategy game in the Myth universe |
This is a strategy game originally released by Bungie before they were bought out by Microsoft. The original Linux version by Loki has trouble working on modern Linux systems but now The Tain; who have been working on Myth 2's source code, have released their Linux version in line with 1.7.2. The game play centres around controlling a set number of units in an RTS style, it is based on "medieval" weaponry with magic thrown in and a great storyline. |

Author says: "I am building a 3D Real-Time Simulator for the BattleTech/MechWarrior Universe. The rules will follow the role-playing rules and only vary in the conversion from a turn-based system to a real-time system. All conversions will be justified and will result in similar, if not identical behavior, if viewed in a turn-based time frame."
Beside that fact, that the scource is unavailable and builds are w*ndows only, the game is free to download and aims to be the most accurate 3D sim of BattleTech (<i>Seems that it should work in Wine 1.x</i>) |

If you are new to the game this little Application will fully automate the download and installation of the game from it’s own repository server and handle all the needed updates and checks. It will then guide you through the process of creating an account and then load your account details automatically when you first play.
Getting up and running with this free game is now as easy as a few clicks of the mouse.
If you already have America’s Army 2.5 this Application will make a copy of your existing installation and put it into a completely separate folder so it does not alter your existing installation and then bring everything up-to date. Once you are happy you may delete your old installation of AA if you wish |
