Early version of a multiplayer space combat game. |
A multiplayer spaceship combat simulation. It's very alpha and was quite buggy on my system (the readouts would disappear from time to time). |

A multiplayer tank game designed for play over a dialup internet connection |
A multiplayer tank game which is playable over the Internet by up to 32 players. It reminds me of Bolo for the Mac, but is not related to it. The game is like capture the flag, but you can harvest trees, build walls and bridges, and lay mines to hinder the opposing team. It's designed to be perfectly playable over a 14.4k SLIP/PPP connection to the Internet. |

A networked multiplayer version of the Hearts card game. |
The hearts card game. The client/server design allows multiple players to connect across a network, or you can play against the three computer opponents. It can be compiled with either Motif or Athena widgets. |

A small program that animates the X cursor. |
This small program animates the X cursor. Any sequence of xbm bitmaps may be specified as the animation. The default "demo" sequence is a cute rotating earth. Although the docs indicate that the cursor in some X windows can be changed, I was only able to animate the cursor in the root window. |

An X version of the Mille Bournes card game. |
XMille is an X interface to the Mille Bournes card game. It's a great game, but I would enjoy it more if it supported multiple (human) players. Also, the informative label telling you why you can't play a card isn't wide enough and the text often is truncated. |

Several solitaire games for X. |
An implementation of many solitare card games for X11 including Klondike, Seahaven, and Spider. The cards are beautifully rendered, and the rules for all the games are accessible via the online help. This is the best solitare game I've seen. |

An implementation of Minesweeper for X. |
Xmine is an implementatin of the classic Minesweeper game which looks exactly like the version for that other popular windowing system. The binary, which has Motif statically linked, is a whopping 840k stripped; there's not much bang for the byte here. As minesweeper games go, I think Xdemineur is a better deal. |

2.0.5 |
An X11 version of the Pente board game. |
This is an implementation of the Asian strategy game ni-nuki, which is a version of go-moku. Players place stones on a grid, and the first person to either place five in a row, or capture five pairs of his opponent's stones, wins. Two humans can play at the same terminal, but not (yet) across a network. |
